Cassius Stanley prospect preview:

Duke wing, Cassius Stanley is an underrated prospect with good upside. He is currently ranked 47th by the Ringer. He possesses incredible athleticism and is a great team player. Stanley also has tremendous hops and uses it to his advantage to pull down rebounds and make high-flying dunks.

Coming from Duke University which is a prestigious school known for producing some of the best professional players, Stanley sure has more to offer than what may be perceived.

At the Draft Combine, he set the top vertical leap of 44 inches, and last year, he broke Duke’s vertical leap record. He’s even got an endorsement from NBA great Magic Johnson who called the 21-year-old “one of the best athletes in the NBA Draft.”

A wing that can shoot while being explosive is just what the Thunder needs and that’s what Stanley provides.

Fun facts:

  • He was named after the late Boxing legend Cassius Clay or better known as Muhammad Ali.
  • His mother Tonya competed on the track and field team at UCLA.
  • Recorded his first unofficial dunk at age 11.
