Get more playing time

As touched on in the slide before, if Muscala gets more game time he is able to produce greater numbers. In the 2017-18 season with the Atlanta Hawks, he played 20.0 minutes per game and averaged 7.6 points.

The next season where he was with the Philadelphia 76ers, Muscala averaged 22.1 minutes and 7.4 points per game. While these numbers do not seem much greater than his career line, there is a deeper story to be told.

When he was in Philadelphia, Muscala points average was the second-best of his career but his efficiency was down. He went at 39.2 percent from the floor, 34.2 percent from deep, and 81.8 percent from the line.

During his last season with the Hawks, Muscala went 45.8 percent from the floor, 37.1 percent from deep, and 91.9 percent from the line. The difference was that Muscala had played in the Hawks system for a while and felt comfortable. He played in Philadelphia for less than a full season.

If Muscala gets more time with the Thunder next season he should produce greater scoring with better efficiency than he had last year. New coach Mark Daigneault will run similar systems to last season so this should help Muscala again. The more comfortable he feels, the better he will shoot.
