OKC Thunder: 3 potential landing spots for George Hill

Potential landing spot for George Hill No. 2) Minnesota Timberwolves
Next up on the docket, we see the likes of the young, talented, and potentially postseason-capable Minnesota Timberwolves.
Coming into the season, the team appears to be chock full of talent, led by the All-Star tandem of D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Town as well as 2020’s No. 1 overall pick, Anthony Edwards.
A trade for the OKC Thunder veteran guard would likely be an attempt to bring on a strong, experienced, and vocal leader for this reletively inexperienced ball club looking to make a splash in the Western Conference in 2020-21.
What would make this move extra beneficial for the Timberwolves is the idea of bringing on Hill as somewhat of a direct mentor for the 19-year-old Edwards who, in reference to Basketball — you know, the sport that’s now paying him millions of dollars — stated “I’m still not really into it” during a pre-draft interview.
Investing their number one selection in the former Georgia Bulldog is, obviously, something that the franchise hopes pans out in the long run. Instilling the proper mindset early into Edwards should be a top priority for Minnesota, and a guy like George Hill could be a quality option for the front office to consider.
