After an unsuccessful year with the Philadelphia 76ers, Al Horford came to the OKC Thunder via trade. Here are three goals for the 2020-21 season.
Al Horford has established himself over his career as being one of the most professional players in the league, which the OKC Thunder are now fortunate to have. Every franchise he has played for has been successful, with the exception of the Philadelphia 76ers last season but that had a lot to do with the role he was given.
The 15-year-veteran was part of the most successful period for the Atlanta Hawks before moving to the Boston Celtics, who were always in contention in the East. Even despite being a bad fit with the 76ers, Horford still helped the team make the playoffs.
This is the first year that Horford will be based out on the West coast but that should not impact him all that much. He is going to show the same professionalism that he has displayed each time he has stepped on the court throughout his career.
The OKC Thunder will benefit from Al Horford’s production.

Last season, Horford averaged under his career numbers, with the exception of assists.
In 30.2 minutes the big man averaged 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.9 blocks, and 0.8 steals. It is this all-round game that has allowed him to be a force in the league for as long as he has.
His efficiency was down due to being asked to play a different role.
Now that he is going to be one of the leaders on this OKC Thunder team, Horford is going to be able to play his game. This is going to allow the younger players to develop around him.
With this in mind, let’s take a look at three goals for Al Horford in the 2020-21 season:
