The OKC Thunder come into game two of the preseason on the heels of Saturday’s victory. For fans, there are a few things they should try and monitor.

Perhaps the best winning percentage they’ll receive all season, the OKC Thunder come into tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls with a .100 winning percentage — albeit, of course, with just one game played while it only being the preseason.

Nonetheless, the Thunder looked solid in their 2020-21 debut, as they bested the San Antonio Spurs with a final score of 121-108.

Now, as they approach their second of three preseason games, the team will look to replicate their successes once more.

Though, in the end, these games have virtually no impact on what the regular season will turn out to be, fans still will have a few things they could look forward to seeing.

With that said, here are 3 things to monitor during tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls:

What OKC Thunder fans should monitor No. 1) Mark Daigneault vs Billy Donovan

Again, while this is not a regular-season game, perhaps the biggest storyline of the night will be the “apprentice becomes the master” aspect of coach Mark Daigneault going up against former OKC Thunder head man, Billy Donovan.

Donovan was the head honcho in Oklahoma City for five seasons and amassed an impressive record of 243-157 along the way. Just last season, the man was bestowed NBCA Coach of the Year honors, and on his coaching staff during their brilliant regular-season run was Daigneault.

Now his successor, the aspect of the new going up against the old will be an entertaining aspect of the game that fans can come in looking forward to seeing.
