Season goal for Josh Hall No. 2)  Work hard

This a bit of a follow on from the previous slide but in order for Hall to progress as a professional, he needs to work hard on so many areas. The first of these areas is his body. As he is just out of high school, he has not had the chance to develop his frame for the rigors of an NBA season.

As such, he is going to need to hit the gym in order to put some bulk on that frame. Taking a look around the NBA, Brandon Ingram is 6’7″ and weighs in at 190 pounds. He is a lightweight for a small forward. If Hall is to play the four he will be taking on players 250 pounds and bigger.

Hall is also going to have to work on his understanding of the game. It is a huge step up from the college game to the professional game. Learning plays and defensive rotations is now your responsibility, with a missed assignment on defense, potentially costing a player a roster spot.

The other area of learning that Hall needs to work hard on is taking in the knowledge and experience of his teammates such as Al Horford, Trevor Ariza, and George Hill who have all had successful careers in the NBA.
