OKC Thunder player No. 3) George Hill, PG

Of all the players found on this list, George Hill appears to be the most likely player to find himself off the roster by season’s end. This is based on the fact that, according to Shams Charania, the veteran point guard is a ‘hot commodity’ within the rumor mill.

Because of this, his return package might wind up being quite valuable to the Thunder’s rebuilding ways and, to take things a step further, Bleacher Report believes that Hill could warrant as far as a first-round pick from a contending team:

"In his first game in OKC, Hill started alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, putting up 21 points (on 8-of-9 shooting), four rebounds, three assists and a steal in only 24 minutes. The NBA’s leading three-point shooter last year (46.0 percent), Hill is already 4-of-8 from deep to begin the season. Although he’s 34, contenders should be lining up for his services. Hill can still start or play a key role off the bench and is on a team-friendly contract. He’ll make $9.6 million this season, and his $10 million salary next year is only guaranteed for $1.3 million. Expect a strong start to the season for Hill before the Thunder trade him for yet another first-round pick."

For point guard hungry teams like the Los Angeles Clippers & Lakers, or the contenders eager for floor spacers like the Philadelphia 76ers, a guy of Hill’s skillset would likely wind up being incredibly impactful and, thus, he should be a highly sought after commodity.

If I were a betting man, I’d put my money on George Hill being off the roster and on a title-hopeful team come the end of 2021.
