OKC Thunder: Checking in on the two-way players Brown and Hall
Thanks to two blowout losses the OKC Thunder have seen their two-way players Moses Brown and Josh Hall on the court in both matches.
Thanks to blowout losses to the New Orleans Pelicans and the Miami Heat, the OKC Thunder played both of their two-way players. They got an early season opportunity to assess them against NBA competition before at least one of them is sent back to the G-League affiliate the OKC Blue for the start of their bubble.
Josh Hall actually played 47 seconds in the game against the Orlando Magic, only taking one shot and had no impact on the game. He then played ten minutes in the Pelicans’ loss, hitting his first NBA bucket, a nice 3-point shot from the corner.
He missed the other four shots he took including three from deep and committed three fouls. He did collect a rebound but was minus 20 in the box score. Hall would then play seven minutes against the Miami Heat and have a much better game.
While Hall missed both of his shot attempts but collected three rebounds, including one offensive board. More tellingly, he would give out two assists meaning he had a much better grip of where his teammates were and getting the ball to them in scoring position.
Moses Brown had better games for the OKC Thunder of the two players.

Moses Brown only played three minutes against the Pelicans, taking one field goal attempt and two free throw attempts. He missed all of his shots but was in the spots he was meant to be. He collected two rebounds and a block.
However, it was the game against the Heat where Brown had the best game of either two-way player. He had five points, three rebounds, including an offensive board, and a steal. Brown hit his only field goal but got to the line eight times. He was only able to make three of these shots but the fact he got there was such a positive.
What these minutes played by Brown and Hall showed is where they need to do some more work on their game and where they can help the Thunder varsity squad. The future looks bright for the OKC Thunder.
