The OKC Thunder must have more output from the reserves

The bench unit for the Thunder is perplexing this season. In some matchups, it seems as though this ball club thrives from the bench play. However, Wednesday night, there was not much this second unit was able to offer OKC.

Isaiah Roby is typically a significant added boost from the bench, but he drew the start during this contest due to Horford resting on the second night of a back-to-back.

Hamidou Diallo has been the source of energy for this team, and he was not able to bring the same intensity against the Lakers as opposed to recent matchups. It is worth noting that Hami is still showing his ability on the ball as the shifty guard continues to get easy buckets weaving his way to the basket.

Check out this nifty move to the cup, as Hami scores the easy layup:

A notable development for OKC is their ability to move without the ball. The dribble penetration with constant motion has been a staple for this young team. Look for the bench to bounce back and find its rhythm against the Bulls on Friday.
