OKC Thunder takeaway No. 2) Darius Bazley’s offensive woes continue

Over the past four games heading into their matchup against Chicago, Darius Bazley has managed to top the double-digit threshold in points scored on just one occasion. During this span, the sophomore forward is averaging a measly six points on an underwhelming 26 percent shooting from the floor and 17 percent shooting from deep.

Their game against the Bulls did not spark any hope in the hearts of Bazley fans, unfortunately, as he went just  3-12 from the field and 1-3 from deep for just nine points while attaining a lowly box plus-minus of -21.

While there is serious hope from fans and analysts alike that the 20-year-old can develop into a quality contributor in this league, thus far into the 2020-21 season with his newly attained starting gig, his production has been quite sporadic.

Due to his recent performances, there have been some who have the question as to whether Darius Bazley should even be considered a legitimate franchise cornerstone at this point.

While we at TI and the fans on Twitter all believe he’s capable of eventually achieving the preseason hype bestowed upon him, his current slump is a bit concerning and has obviously proven to be challenging for this OKC Thunder squad to cope with.
