More from Thunderous Intentions

Even against a championship-contending team like the Clippers, with both Leonard and Paul George, the OKC Thunder have a good chance of winning.

That’s not something every “tanking” team can say. I feel like there needs to be a whole documentary on this because the team’s mindset is insane.

After the match, Hill said:

I told the guys in the locker room when you compete every second, you give yourself a chance to win. We’re not promised to win them all, but we are promised to compete at a high level and do the best we can.”

This was reflected in their play against the Clippers. Down by as many as 17, they continued to eat away at the lead.

They continued to stand strong like only they know-how. This is probably the best positive we can take away from a game like this and it always reminds us why we love this team.

The OKC Thunder are right back in action Monday as they finish a back-to-back set versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
