No. 3) Respect to the Breakfast Club

Kenrich Williams and Justin Jackson represented ‘The Breakfast Club’ with fierce play and wonderful scoring.

Jackson led the three-man bench with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists. While Kenny was tremendous pulling down eight rebounds and adding seven points, two assists, and a steal.

More from Thunderous Intentions

The duo stepped up in the second unit when the Thunder were close to having no reserves at all due to injuries.

Prior to the game, Hamidou Diallo had nothing but praise for Kenny saying: “He comes out there, he lays it on the ground every day. We call that a pitbull mentality and he brings it every night.”

It’s rare to find players with that mindset who aren’t even starters. It shows the character of this roster and the rich culture that the Thunder continues to uphold. A culture where you would do anything to win and to be there for your teammates.

I’ll leave you with a quote that the OKC Thunder shared from SGA before the matchup.

“As far as us as a group, we really just want to do whatever it takes to win, whether it be the hustle plays, be it making a shot, just being confident in the situation and doing whatever it takes.”
