OKC Thunder trade target No. 2) Robert Williams III
Next up, we find yet another reletively stationary big man in Boston Celtics third-year pro, Robert Williams III.
Throughout his tenure in the NBA, Williams has shown glimpses of brilliance, displaying an amazing array of on-ball defensive chops, athleticism, and shot swatting abilities.
The problem, however, has been his health.
Over 3 years, the 6-8 big has only managed to play 78 total regular-season games due to a myriad of ailments, located within both the upper and lower regions of the body.
Even still, Cs fans have been holding out hope for the potential that he brings and, through the first 24 games of play, Williams has suited up for 18 of them and, during his minutes, has proven to be a quality prospect.
In just shy of 15 minutes per game, the 23-year-old is posting averages of 5.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and just shy of a steal per game on an incredible 73 percent shooting from the floor.
Per 36 minutes, these averages find themselves skyrocketing to an impressive 14.4 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks.
In turn, the production is certainly there, though how often he finds himself in a position to produce has been a bit of a mystery.
If we’re Sam Presti and the OKC Thunder, we’d monitor the big man’s availability moving forward, but wouldn’t think of parting with anything substantial to bring him aboard.
