OKC Thunder grades: Huge team effort in win over Bucks
OKC Thunder starting lineup grades:
Kenrich Williams was hustling all game. He does not have the greatest impact on the box score every night but that does not reflect his game.
Williams was crucial to the win especially with his seven points in the third period. While he only had ten points, Williams hustled his way to five assists and four rebounds. His strip on Giannis Antetokounmpo in the paint late in the third period was why Williams has become a fan favorite.
Offensively Justin Jackson started slow but warmed up as the game went on. He added four points in the first, and then five in the second. Jackson continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over with four in the third period.
Jackson showed that he is not afraid of the moment by making three 3-point shots in the last without a miss. He had a team-high 22 points on 4-of-4 from the deep. His five assists were crucial to the offense flowing all game. His deep dagger closed out the game. with 14 seconds to go
Luguentz Dort had a hand in most of the early offense. He assisted on the first field goal then made a 3-point shot to start the Thunder run. He continues to add offensive weapons to his natural defensive game.
Had eight points and five rebounds in the first. Dort then followed up his great first quarter with another eight points in the second. He would finish the game with 19 points and seven rebounds. He did have a game-high seven turnovers. Kept the offense moving in the last by getting to the line twice.
Darius Bazley started the game slowly, he did not score in the first period, however, he made up for that in the second by pouring in seven points to back up Dort’s eight.
His contribution was crucial to the Thunder staying in touch with the Bucks. He had a solid second half, finishing the game with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. His two big dunks in the last period made a statement in the game.
Al Horford was impressive both offensively and defensively for the first period. He had only five points but also had two key assists which helped keep the Thunder momentum going. H
orford was incredible against the Bucks, almost collecting a triple-double with 20 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. Without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the offense has been running through Horford. His defense on Antetokounmpo all night was a clinic.
