OKC Thunder: 3 players who have changed their fates in 2020-21

OKC Thunder player No. 3) Kenrich Williams
When making a list discussing OKC Thunder players who have changed their fates with their play in 2020-21, we would be remiss to not mention the likes of third-year forward Kenrich Williams.
Bestowed the nickname “Kenny Hustle”, the 26-year-old is finding himself winning over fans with his hard play and swift shooting stroke.
Through 26 games played, Williams is averaging 5.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per outing on 53 percent shooting from the field, 42 percent shooting from deep, and boasts a defensive rating of 111.
Though he may have been acquired this past offseason as somewhat of an afterthought in the Steven Adams trade with the New Orleans Pelicans, Williams is showing he can be that “do it all” type of contributor that every team covets.
The Thunder have him serving as an ideal 3-and-D contributor, as they have him checking guards, star wings, and bigs while also allowing him to roam on the perimeter for potential catch-and-shoot attempts, where he’s stroking it at a 44.8 percent clip on such attempts.
All in all, Kenrich Williams’ play has transitioned him from no-name to household name — at least for OKC Thunder fans.
Good teams need great role players, and the forward is proving himself to be so during his first season in the Sooner State.
