OKC Thunder: Moses Brown’s improbable climb to the NBA
By Ryan Lewis
Moses Brown and the OKC Thunder enter the regular season
The Thunder saw enough to warrant giving Brown a shot in the regular season. His first regular-season action for the OKC Thunder came on Dec. 31, 2020, against the New Orleans Pelicans. He finished scoreless in three minutes with two rebounds and one block.
In the new year, Brown played in six January games, averaging 4.6 minutes per game. He averaged 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game during that time while shooting 87.5 percent from the field.
He played in one game in February but finished scoreless while grabbing four rebounds and blocking two shots in five minutes.
The potential was there, but the sample size was relatively small.
When extrapolated to per 36 minutes, Brown is a star NBA center.

But those stats are just projections, and projections don’t equal All-Star nominations, MVP awards or championships.
For Brown to make it onto the Thunder roster, he would have to prove his worth.
