Spurs:
The list of players out for the Spurs is extensive and it’s obvious who the four players are that contracted COVID-19 while one other must be distancing due to contact tracing based on the caveat “day-to-day” as when he’ll return:
- DeMar DeRozan is out for personal reasons. His father passed this week after a long battle with cancer (sending out condolences and prayers to DeMar and his family).
- Rudy Gay (health protocols) is out
- Keldon Johnson (health protocols) is out
- Derrick White (health protocols) is out
- Devin Vassell (health protocols) is out
- Quinndary Weatherspoon (health and safety protocols) is listed as day-to-day
- LaMarcus Aldridge is dealing with a hip injury that caused him to miss the last six Spurs games. He has no definitive return date.
History:
The teams have played each other 175 times in regular-season history with the Spurs holding a 97-78 advantage.
In the 2019-20 campaign, they met each other on four occasions with each team taking two contests.
This is the second time they’ll play this season with OKC looking to even the series after the Spurs won 112-102 the first contest on January 12th.
Enjoy the game and check back tomorrow for grades and three takeaways.
