The OKC Thunder came into 2020-21 with very little expectations after trading away virtually every key contributor from their Cinderalla story 2019-20 campaign this past offseason.

That said, through 33 games, this team has proven they’re different from other past and present rebuilding ball clubs, as they are often finding themselves in the hunt for a top-8 seed in the Western Conference standings and find themselves competing to the end of virtually every game they play, regardless of their opponent.

The OKC Thunder have been quite an impressive team this season

Though they may only have a 14-19 overall record, no team can stand to sleep on the OKC Thunder this year.

Because of their impressive play, in Bleacher Report’s most recent release of report cards for each team, Oklahoma City found themselves bestowed one of the highest grades in the league, receiving an ‘A-‘. making them one of only 6 teams to be given a grade in the ‘A’-range.

"OKC must still trade Al Horford and George Hill for draft capital, and the loss of the few vets on the roster will probably trigger some ugly losing stretches. It won’t be easy to avoid late-season malaise as defeats mount and sage voices depart. But so far, the Thunder are getting everything they could want out of this season. This was supposed to be the worst team in the league—or at least the one least concerned with its win-loss record. OKC has been better than expected in all the best ways."

The other 5 teams to receive the same or a higher rating are the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, and the Brooklyn Nets.

Though we are under the same belief as B/R that the Thunder will soon look to offload some of their veterans and, in turn, steer more into the tank, Through the first half of the season, they’ve been quite a fun team to watch.
