Joel Embiid is delivering an MVP level campaign and truthfully this club (if healthy) feels like it could pose issues for the Nets based on their far superior defense.
In a series against the Nets, DeAndre Jordan could spend some time on Embiid as could Durant but neither is capable of stopping him.
Simmons in particular seems emboldened by Doc Rivers telling him just to play to his strengths. Philly added Danny Green and Dwight Howard to bring some championship mettle to the locker room but they still are missing something. Philly could use a playmaking, 3-point adept point guard of the ilk of Kyle Lowry.
Toronto may be looking to be buyers instead of sellers so that could open the door for a George Hill trade to Philly as he’d offer precisely what the 76ers are missing.
Doc needs to manage Embiid’s minutes with a view of getting him to the postseason healthy but in condition to withstand the title run.
