OKC Thunder: NBA Power Rankings week 10 – All-Star break edition
Cleveland Cavaliers:
Week 10: 3-0
Won vs: Hawks 112-111, Rockets 112- 96, 76ers 112-109
Opponents this week: Rockets, Pacers
Offensive Rating: 104.7 (30th) | Defensive Rating: 112.9 (22nd)| Net Differential: -8.2 (30th)
A strong week of work by the Cavaliers resulted in them taking the top rank among the trio of clubs that hold a record of 13-21.
While the schedule was a factor early in the week the victory versus the 76ers solidified their shift back to focusing on the defensive side of the court.
Collin Sexton will deservedly get the majority of attention averaging 26.7 points this week. However, his backcourt partner Darius Garland provided an even hand running the point and was arguably the bigger x-factor. In the three-game win streak, Garland averaged 17.7 points, 9.0 assists, and 1.3 steals.
Garland’s 25 point effort Sunday in the victory versus the 76ers was particularly impressive as he scored 17 points in the fourth and overtime frames.
