Mavericks center Kristaps Porzingis (6) grab rebound vs OKC Thunder: Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports /

Best OKC Thunder reserve performance:

TY JEROME. B+. . G/F. Oklahoma City Thunder

On any given night if Ty Jerome offered the OKC Thunder 13 points off the bench on 5 of 7 shooting and 3 of 4 from deep you’d be thrilled.

Add in three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in a game where the Thunder failed to score 80 points and Jerome’s performance was one of the few bright spots of the evening.

Best opponent performance:

C. Dallas Mavericks. KRISTAPS PORZINGIS. A.

More from Thunderous Intentions

Without Doncic able to go Kristaps Porzingis embraced leading his Mavericks to a victory. While both sides struggled from deep KP hit three of his six long ball attempts. He collected a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds and lead both clubs with the best plus/minus of +16.

In closing:

Collecting losses isn’t the end of the world for the OKC Thunder but how they lose games is an important factor for their development and growth.

Even while the Thunder aren’t an explosive offense on most nights they keep us entertained by their defensive commitment and team play.

This one simply felt like a team that needs a break, Fortunately, after Thursday, they’ll get that via the All-Star break and five days off..
