20. . 24-13. Previous: 6th. Los Angeles Lakers. 7. team

Los Angeles Lakers:

Week 11: 0-2
Lost to: Suns 104-114, Kings 120-123

Week 12 opponents: Pacers

Offense: (111.3) 17th
Defense: (106.1) 1st
Net: (Plus +5.2) 6th

Don’t tell me the league didn’t purposely schedule just one game for the Lakers this week to appease LeBron James who initially balked at the All-Star Game proceeding.

Turns out the Lakers need the time as they’ve floundered of late without the services of Anthony Davis. To wit, the Lakeshow is 2-6 through their last eight games. With the Nets adding Blake Griffin it’s a solid bet LA will be looking to make a move to add offense in particular.

The problem is they don’t have much to work with assets wise but when you are one of the big market money makers and have the best (and most popular) player on your franchise that means the team will get easier access to buyout players than any small market team like the Jazz for example.
