OKC Thunder: 2 Al Horford deadline deals to consider

OKC Thunder stockpile picks, Boston Celtics get a center
Like we said already, when building for the future, one of the most valuable assets to have are draft picks and, here, we see Presti snagging another first-round selection to add to his already illustrious treasure trove.
The Boston Celtics, on the other hand, see themselves bringing aboard a familiar face in Horford, who manned the middle for the franchise from 2016 to 2019 and, in doing so, saw some of his best seasons as a pro.
The former All-Star boasted averages of 13.5 points, seven rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep whilst playing with the shamrocks.
Though he’s now two seasons removed from his last home game at the TD Garden, he still is finding himself posting fairly similar numbers of 14 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and just shy of a block on 36 percent shooting from deep with the Thunder.
The fact that Brad Stevens is still the head coach for the franchise should make them feel comfortable in a reunion with the veteran big man, while their desperate need for a legitimate center makes a transaction such as this that much more likely.
While the concept of taking on the 34-year-old’s albatross $109 million contract seems like a tough task to accomplish, with the fact that he’s making $27.5 million in 2020-21, the Cs could absorb said money into their historically high $28.5 million TPE.
