OKC Thunder: Power Rankings all teams at the trade deadline
San Antonio Spurs:
Week 13: 3-1
Offense: (109.8) 19th
Defense: (109.6) 10th
Net: (Plus +0.2) 14th
How fitting that as the world we live in has changed so much the one team who can be relied upon for constancy and repetition may do something very foreign to them.
Since 1998 the San Antonio Spurs have made four — FOUR— trade deadline deals. There are teams in the association who’ve made that many in one season.
However, this year there are multiple veterans on expiring contracts the Spurs could move to get something in return as they continue to build the team around the young core.
I almost shudder at the thought of what RC Bufford, Gregg Popovich and their scouts would do with a lottery pick given how successful they’ve been with repeated late first-round options.
LaMarcus Aldridge is no longer with the team and the more days that pass it seems more likely his contract will be bought out.
However, DeMar DeRozan, Patty Mills, Rudy Gay, and Patty Mills are all valuable veteran talents in the last year of their deals who could immediately bolster depth on a contender.
