Denver Nuggets: Buyers

Week 13: 3-1

Offense: (116.6) 4th
Defense: (111.4) 16th
Net: (Plus +5.2) 6th

The Nuggets are gaining momentum having registered a record of 14-6 in their last 20 games (prior to Toronto blowing them out).

Much of the success can be linked to Jamal Murray snapping out of his post Disney bubble coma. But there are still palpable issues defensively.  Part of that can be tied to the absence of Gary Harris who simply can’t stay healthy.

Yet, the bigger gap is upfront. The exit of  Jerami Grant specifically but also Mason Plumlee highlights the need for another power forward.

Grant is showing his talent in Detroit and it’s easy to see why Denver is covetous of filling his absence. Paul Millsap has always delivered but father time marches on and it’s showing this season. JaMychal Green could solve some of the problems but a player with more two-way capabilities would be preferred.

Denver is said to be among the top contenders to nab either Harrison Barnes or Aaron Gordon and they have the depth and picks to make it work.
