Milwaukee made their big move early grabbing P.J. Tucker from the Rockets to shore up their frontcourt needs.
While Brook Lopez was a vital part of the Bucks ascent up the East ladder his regression this year is obvious, particularly on the defensive side of the hardcourt. Tucker provides them with an energetic big who can defend all five positions, can space the floor, and brings a grittiness to the club.
The 35- year old was having his worst season as a pro when coming over but it’s hard to judge him on what became an untenable situation in Houston as James Harden and Russell Westbrook exited and the club lost 20 games in a row.
Tucker must be delighted to be in Milwaukee where the Bucks have won 13 of 14 games and are looking very much like the club who had the best record in the NBA the last two seasons.
One addition the club would like to make is a reserve guard and as per Zach Lowe may be interested in the Knicks Austin Rivers.
