OKC Thunder takeaway No. 3) Moses Brown is too good

It seems premature to label OKC Thunder player Brown as a superstar. But it certainly doesn’t seem like a stretch.

Brown has many years of development ahead of him, but he’s on pace to be one of the Thunder’s biggest playmakers, and it’s not hard to see why.

Brown notched his fifth double-double of the season against the Raptors. Each of the five has come over his last eight games. Since returning from G League play with the OKC Blue, Brown has been phenomenal for the Thunder.

More from Thunderous Intentions

Just two games after dropping 21 points and pulling down 23 rebounds in a 111-94 loss to Boston, Brown was at it again against the Raptors, scoring 20 points and picking up 12 rebounds in the win.

The most impressive thing about his play has been his efficiency, where he is making the most happen without taking a ton of shots to get there.

Over his last five games, Brown is averaging 14 points per game on 60 percent shooting. He’s also averaging 14.8 rebounds per game over that stretch and logging 31.6 minutes per game.

He is one of the best surprises of the season, giving Thunder fans hope that he’s the answer at center for Oklahoma City.
