The squads have faced each other 242 times in regular-season history with the Thunder having the edge of 123 wins versus the Blazers 119 wins. In the 2019-20 campaign the teams played four times splitting the series with two wins each.

This is the third and final meeting of this campaign with both clubs possessing one victory. The Thunder won the January 25th match 125-122 while the Blazers took the second meeting on February 16th by a score of 115-104.
