Best OKC Thunder reserve performance:

Oklahoma City Thunder. KENRICH WILLIAMS. A. . G/F

This honor could just as easily have gone to Tony Bradley. Kenrich Williams led the team in scoring with 18, while Bradley finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Williams gets the nod due to his desire to keep pushing despite the game being well out of reach.

He didn’t earn the nickname “Kenny Hustle” for nothing.

Best opponent performance:

. SG. Portland Trail Blazers. CJ MCCOLLUM. A-

The Trail Blazers had eight players hit double-digit scoring, but McCollum did it the best, finishing with a team-high 20 on 8 for 14 shooting. He also finished 4-for-8 from behind the arc.

More from Thunderous Intentions

McCollum was able to run circles around the OKC Thunder, and the Thunder defense had almost no answer for him. That’s mostly because when they reined him in, another Blazer was ready to take over.

In closing:

The Thunder have had much better games, but I don’t know if they’ve had much worse.

A few players really stepped up and battled, doing what they could even when they had no chance to change the outcome.

The Trail Blazers were just the better team on Saturday. It doesn’t mean that’ll always be the case, but for now, it’s a safe bet.

The Thunder will return to action on Monday at 6 p.m. CT when they host the Detroit Pistons.
