OKC Thunder: Player grades feature Poku breakout in loss to Hornets
By Ryan Lewis
Best OKC Thunder reserve performance:
Tony Bradley may not have been the highest-scoring reserve for the OKC Thunder, but he wasn’t that far off.
Scoring just one point less than Jaylen Hoard, Bradley was just as efficient, making six of his nine shots for 12 points.
He set himself apart from Hoard in every other statistical category, as Bradley finished with seven total rebounds and one steal.
Best opponent performance:
More from Thunderous Intentions
- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
Jalen McDaniels was far from being the only Hornet who scored in bunches, as seven players scored in the double digits for Charlotte.
He led the team with 21 points on 64.3 percent shooting while snagging six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Overall, the entire Hornets squad played like a well-oiled machine to hold on for the win against the Thunder.
In closing:
The losses aren’t surprising. With the bulk of the starting roster sitting games out, the OKC Thunder aren’t supposed to be dismantling the competition.
Still, it’s always reassuring to see the Thunder playing games competitively with lesser-known players.
It gives one hope for this team’s future, considering the pieces the Thunder already have combined with the number of draft picks they have in the coming years.
