OKC Thunder: Player grades led by return of Bazley, Dort in loss to 76ers
By Ryan Lewis
Best OKC Thunder reserve performance:
It’s hard to be upset with Tony Bradley‘s production, especially when he comes off the bench to score 16 points, pull down 14 rebounds, and block three shots.
Bradley has continued to show a lot of upside since joining the OKC Thunder, and it’s only a matter of time before he sees an increase in his minutes as the OKC Thunder continue on this rebuilding path.
Best opponent performance:
Joel Embiid earns the honor for best opponent performance after dropping 27 points on 58.8 percent shooting from the floor.
Even without scoring a team-high 27 points, Embiid would still earn the honor after finishing with four blocks on the defensive end, even though Furkan Korkmaz and his five steals give Embiid a run for his money.
In closing:
This is the new norm for OKC Thunder fans.
Despite the team being ultra-competitive for most of the season leading up to the trade deadline, with the decision to bench Al Horford for good and holding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander out indefinitely, the OKC Thunder are full steam ahead on the rebuild.
It’s good because it allows us an opportunity to see who can cut it on the current roster. It’s bad because it takes away some of the most electrifying Thunder players from our screens.
Still, it’s been interesting to watch how players respond to an increase in minutes. It’s been good to see who will step up and who will continue to underperform.
Lucky for us, there’s still quite a bit of ball left to be played to figure it all out.
