6) Making a mark in his first NBA start

In his first NBA start against the Rockets on January 20, 2020, he held Harden to 1 of 17 from deep. Another impeccable performance, guarding someone who has often been called “unguardable.”

7) From steal to poster

Another indelible moment was in the Thunder’s encounter with the Trail Blazers on February 16th. Late in the third quarter, Dort stole the ball and bolted down the other side of the court to put Anfernee Simons on a poster.

8) 21 point first quarter vs. Toronto

On the eve of his 22nd birthday, Dort had one of the most marvelous games in an OKC Thunder uniform.

Going up against his native country team, the Toronto Raptors, he scored a huge 21 points in the first quarter alone. He added five 3-pointers and finished with 29 points, four rebounds, and a steal.

9) Thunder rookie playoff record

In 2020, Dort passed Harden for the most points (30) scored by an OKC rookie player. It was previously 18.

10) In great NBA company

Dort is joined by only Kobe Bryant and LeBron as the only players aged 21 or younger to score above 25 points in a Game Seven.

11) Joining Thunder legends

He is the third player in Thunder history, joining Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, with at least 20 points, five rebounds, and five steals in a game before turning 22.

12) Another OKC record

The guard is only the sixth player in Thunder history to post a 40 point game. The other five include Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Durant, Harden, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

13) Making more history

Against the Raptors on April 18, he became the seventh player from OKC to notch up 20 points or more in a single quarter.
