OKC Thunder grades: Career-best by Bazley not enough to quell Wizards
Best OKC Thunder reserve performance:
While this spot could easily go to Tony Bradley it’s Ty Jerome who gets the nod for his overall effect on the match. Notably, he played well in Tampa Bay as well and he’s becoming a player who Intentions can see carving out a role for himself on the team moving forward.
Jerome never tries to do too much. His game management is a strength as he looks to get everyone involved and balance when to call his won number.
Versus the Wizards, he scored 11 points with three 3-pointers while grabbing five boards, dishing three dimes, and adding a steal.
Best opponent performance:
It sort of feels like sacrilege to not tap Russell Westbrook in this spot simply based on the franchise ties.

First, let’s pay homage to new Daddy, Davis Bertans who scored 21 points including six 3-pointers while adding three rebounds and two assists. Bradley Beal led the scoring for the Wizards (30 points) but needed 21 shots to get there.
Back to Russ— he recorded his 26th triple-double of the season with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and SEVENTEEN assists along with three steals.
He’s closing in on Oscar Robertson’s all-time triple-double record of 181 and may equal or surpass it this season. With 15 games remaining for the Wizards it’s conceivable he gets there this season. Westbrook has 172 triple-doubles so nine will tie the Big O and 10 will give him sole possession of the record.
No matter what team Westbrook plays for he’ll always hold a special place in the hearts of Thunder Nation. We’ll be keeping our eye on his attempt to rewrite history and celebrate when he eventually earns the record.
