The OKC Thunder are set to have quite a busy and entertaining 2021 offseason.

After finding themselves in the full swing of postseason action and, quite often, the championship conversation, Sam Presti and co. have opted to call it quits on contention and, instead, have opted to steer this team into a franchise rebuild.

Thanks to the impressive acts of wheeling and dealing from the front office, the Thunder are seemingly set up for great success even during lowly regular seasons, as they find themselves in possession of upwards of 34 total draft picks through the year 2027, 17 of which could fall within the first-round.

As things currently stand, this year alone they could come away with as many as three total firsts, with their own potentially landing them the No. 1 overall selection, or at least one of the top prospects in the class.

On top of this, the 2021 offseason will also see Oklahoma City holding the most spending power in comparison to all other teams in the league, as they’ll have roughly $55 million at their disposal.

Though we believe there are quite a few players slated to hit the open market that should be viewed as worthy of the team’s pursuit — especially some specific restricted free agents –, it’s understood that the franchise is never viewed as a top-tier destination for top-flight names in free agency and, in turn, could wind out missing on all of them.

Instead, perhaps what they should try to focus on is retaining at least one of their own impending free agents in an effort better fill out their salary cap situation.

There will be a few players slated to hit the open market that are currently on the OKC Thunder, as we at TI believe 2, in specific, are worth consideration to be brought back:
