OKC Thunder draft target No. 2) Jalen Suggs

Some could argue that Jalen Suggs is unequivocally the top point guard coming out of this coming draft class but, at the very least, he’s safely within the top-two conversation.

Though he may not have come away from his one-and-done season at the collegiate level with an NCAA Tournament title, it doesn’t take away from his stupendous run that led Gonzaga to a 31-1 record on the year.

Voted in as the WCC Newcomer of the Year, Suggs posted impressive per-game averages of 14.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.9 steals per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent shooting from deep.

While he possesses all the makings to be a true floor general at the professional level, the 19-year-old has proven capable of playing both on and off-ball, thus making him a solid potential fit to throw into the Thunder’s lineup alongside SGA in the backcourt.

His all-around skillet, including dishing out dimes, nabbing rebounds, effortlessly staying with his defensive assignments, and flat out buying buckets makes him an unquestioned top-5 pick come draft day and, should he be available once it’s Oklahoma City’s turn to go up to the board, it’ll be hard for Presti to pass on such an opportunity to bring a talent like Suggs aboard.
