For the second installment of our draft prospect – NBA star comparison series, we at TI discuss top-tier target for the OKC Thunder, Jalen Suggs

The 2020-21 season is seemingly going exactly according to plan for the OKC Thunder.

Despite a turbulent start to the season, where they found far more success than desired for their tankathon campaign and, in turn, were constantly revolving in and out of the play-in tournament picture, this second half stretch has seen Oklahoma City drop 28 of their 34 games, plummetting them down the standings to the highly coveted bottom-three record in the league.

Should this losing trend continue through the final two games remaining on the regular-season schedule, Oklahoma City will find itself with one of the best odds of attaining the top slot come July’s draft.

This year’s class is seemingly overstocked with talent so even if the Thunder wind up landing the No. 2 or No. 3 selection, there is still a great chance the front office will snag a great player, as the top names in this year’s class are quite impressive.

Reminiscent of players both past and present, many of these incoming rookies have the potential to reach star status at the next level, including the players that currently find themselves linked to the Thunder.

To get a better understanding of just how high their ceilings could be, we at TI have gone about and created a fun new series where we compare some of the top names from this incoming class to NBA players that we feel most resemble their specific games/ skill sets.

To kick off the series, we went about and compared the consensus No. 1 prospect coming into the draft in Oklahoma State standout, Cade Cunningham, to two of today’s top names.

Today, we continue on with the No. 2 prospect on many big boards in Gonzaga point guard, Jalen Suggs:
