Orlando Magic (21-49)

The team currently tied with the OKC Thunder is the Orlando Magic who stands to potentially be the biggest winners of the 2021 Draft.

They own their own pick plus the Bulls pick which means they’ll likely have two lottery picks. The hope was Cole Anthony who seems to love hitting game-winners would go rogue and push an opponent. That was partially based on Orlando winning three out of four games (Cavs, Grizzlies, and Pistons) at the end of April and to start May.

Coincidentally, this was also the period while head coach Steve Clifford was out in COVID-19 quarantining due to contact tracing.4

Since his return, the team is back on track losing five in a row, granted all versus playoff seeds. This weekend doesn’t change as Orlando will complete their season in Philly playing consecutive games on Friday and Sunday.

If the 76ers win the Friday match they’ll cement the Eastern Conference top seed. However, that doesn’t mean the Sixers won’t be invested in winning both games. Philly has only lost seven games on at Wells Fargo all season and only the Jazz have fewer home losses (five).

Still, don’t toss in the towel Thunder Nation — put on those rally caps and cheer for the Magic to win one game. If they don’t it’s likely we’ll be headed for the coin toss which clearly isn’t ideal.
