OKC Thunder draft target No. 3) Jalen Green

If the OKC Thunder end up missing out on Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, and Jalen Suggs during the night of the draft, they should feel quite comfortable knowing that they’ll likely still have a guy like Jalen Green available for the taking.

Easily the best wing in this draft class, and perhaps my personal favorite prospect not named Cade Cunningham, Green is a stupendous talent that will almost certainly find ample success at the next level.

Breaking onto the scene with the G League Ignite in their inaugural season, the 19-year-old served as the team’s top dog in the pecking order and, in said role, established himself as perhaps the best shot creator/ scorer in the class of 2021.

Starting at forward in every single game for the ball club in 2020-21, the 2020 McDonalds All-American went on to post impressive per-game averages of 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals on 46 percent shooting from the floor and 37 percent shooting from deep.

Built like the ideal modern-day wing, with a skill-set that has managed to draw strong comparisons to All-Stars Jaylen Brown and even Zach LaVine, adding someone of Jalen Green’s two-way magnitude to partner with the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could be an absolute power move for the Thunder and would give them the makings of a fantastic one-two punch for years to come.
