OKC Thunder contract and season grades for Ty Jerome
Contract grade: A-

- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
When the OKC Thunder traded for Jerome, he had one year on his contract with another two years left as team options. The Thunder then guaranteed his third season at the end of December in 2020. Given the way that Jerome played in the second half of the season, this was a wise move.
This season, Jerome was only on $2.3 million and his production more than justified the deal. He did not appear to have a future in the league when he was with the Phoneix Suns. However, he certainly has a minimum of the next two years.
Season grade: B+
To say that Jerome’s performances this season have been surprising would be an understatement. He seemed to find a level of confidence in the bubble which he was able to transfer to the NBA arena.
However, after Jerome started to earn minutes and score, the Thunder did not win many games. While this cannot be attributed to Jerome due to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being shut down, it shows that Jerome is not anything more than a role player for the team he plays on.
