OKC Thunder season highlights for Isaiah Roby

For me, one of the highlights of Roby’s season was in the first game that he played. He sat on the bench for the first two games of the season and then was called upon by the team to start in the third game thanks to Al Horford being out.

How did Roby respond in just his fourth NBA game? He scored 19 points, had seven rebounds, two blocks, and a steal. He went 9-of-12 from the floor and 1-of-2 from deep. Talk about a way to announce yourself to the new coach and the entire NBA.

Roby also had three double-doubles on the season, his best being the 17 points, 10 rebound effort in the win against the Toronto Raptors. He also gave out three assists on the night. He put up meaningful numbers in a win for the Thunder.

Roby was active and involved in most games, even if his numbers did not reflect it. The best example of this is the night the Golden State Warriors beat the Thunder by 39 points, Draymond Green back Roby down in the paint scored, and gave the too small sign.

A few plays later, Roby came down the court in transition and dunked all over Green. This was his only bucket of the night and led to the two of them getting double technicals as they left the court at the halftime break. It just shows that Roby will not lay down and take any disrespect.
