Best contract on OKC Thunder No. 2) Luguentz Dort (4-years, $5.4 million)

After going undrafted during the 2019 NBA Draft, the one-and-done Arizona State product went about and signed on with the OKC Thunder on a two-way contract.

Through 36 games played, due to his high-energy production both ends of the ball, Luguentz Dort managed to work his way into the starting lineup, the heart of Oklahoma City fans, and, ultimately, a 4-year, $5.4 million contract with the franchise in June of 2020.

A few months later, the newly-signed rookie went on to have himself a truly impressive postseason performance where he posted 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and a block per game on 41 percent shooting from the floor and, in Game 7 whilst going up against superstar, James Harden, put on an absolute clinic, dropping a whopping 30 points on 50 percent shooting from deep.

During year two with the ball club he found himself serving as the No. 2 option within Mark Daigneault’s scheme and, in turn, went on to post averages of 14 points and 3.6 rebounds per game on 34 percent shooting from deep.

Viewed as having the potential of being a Marcus Smart-esque contributor for the Thunder moving forward (keep in mind, the 2x NBA All-Defensive player issigned to a $51 million contract), Lu Dort is a prime example of one of Presti’s diomand in the rough finds and, due to his production, he’s one of the very few players found on this team that should be viewed as “untouchable.”
