The OKC Thunder signed Moses Brown to a two-way deal at the start of the season. This was not Brown’s first two-way contract, having signed one last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. However, the Blazers were unable to develop Brown due to their lack of a G-League team.

Brown only played in nine NBA games with the Trail Blazers, averaging 1.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in just 3.7 minutes per game. He had no opportunity to showcase his talent due to not even starting a game in the G-League due to playing for the Texas Legends, the affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks

However, the Thunder saw enough in Brown to sign him at the start of the season. He played in seven games prior to the G-League bubble, averaging three points, and 2.1 rebounds in 4.5 minutes per game. Then he was assigned to the OKC Blue for the duration of the G-League bubble

OKC Thunder two-way player Moses Brown broke out in the G-League bubble.

Brown averaged 18.5 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in the 14 games that he played in the shortened season of the G-League. These numbers showed the potential of Brown and naturally, with the Thunder being a rebuilding team, they were going to give him an opportunity when he returned.

Brown then averaged 9.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 0.8 steals per game. These are incredible numbers for a player who was on a two-way deal at the start of the season. He is another potential success story for the Thunder from their two-way contract players.
