As mentioned earlier, the OKC Thunder converted Brown’s contract from a two-way deal into a four-year, $6.9 million deal. As a player who has been on consecutive two-way deals with two separate franchises, this feels like the start of something bigger for the 7-2 center out of UCLA.
It is such a good deal for the Thunder given that they are looking to keep large amounts of cap space to entice quality free agents. This is hard to do for this franchise as they are not one of the bigger markets so the extra money will help.

Season grade
As Brown played just over half the season, it would be easy to give him a lower grade, considering that he only played in eight victories all season long. However, this season was not about wins for the Thunder, it was about assessment and development.
He finished the season shooting 54.5 percent from the floor, which is going to be beneficial for the next few seasons, particularly given that the OKC Thunder will get their stars back next season. He will need to work on his free-throw shooting, as he was only good for 61.9 percent from the line.
Season grade: B
