OKC Thunder target No. 3) Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons‘ time with the Philadelphia 76ers is likely coming to an end this summer after his lackluster performance in the postseason. That said, while he may be on the outs in the City of Brotherly Love, his status as one of the better players in the NBA is still very much apparent.

Despite his shortcomings in June, throughout the rest of the season, the 24-year-old posted stat sheet stuffing averages of 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.6 steals on 56 percent shooting from the floor.

In turn, the fifth-year veteran nabbed himself his third consecutive All-Star appearance, second consecutive All-Defensive team selection, and finished second in the running for Defensive Player of the Year.

Say what you will about Simmons, but he’s still a fine player in this league — he just may not be the ideal fit for the point guard position with the Sixers.

Philadelphia needs more of a scoring threat to help compliment Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris, and perhaps taking a chance on Kemba Walker could be an idea worth considering if you’re Darryl Morrey.

A more traditional scoring option at the one who has never shied away from shooting the rock, the veteran could prove to be a nice addition for this Philly team that, frankly, lost in the second round due to offensive reluctance from their current starting option.

In turn, the OKC Thunder get Ben Simmons who, though is listed as a point guard, is 6-11 and could theoretically play any position including center. However, obviously, the goal would be to try and help him revitalize his career so, in time, Sam Presti could then try to flip him to another team and simply cultivate even more draft capital.
