Ranking 7 former OKC Thunder point guards 2021 playoff performances
Former OKC Thunder point guard 2021 playoff performance: No. 7 – George Hill
George Hill had thumb surgery this season that caused him to miss the final 29 games of his tenure with the OKC Thunder and the first 12 games with the 76ers following the trade.
Hill returned to the court on April 19th in Philly playing the final 16 games of the regular season. He appeared in all 12 postseason games for the 76ers. In 17.1 minutes he averaged 4.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
The veteran broke double-digits twice, both versus the Wizards and while he shot 42.1 percent from deep he only averaged 1.6 attempts per game.
His contribution was meager and tempered by highs and lows. With the lack of playmakers on the 76ers, it seemed like Doc Rivers perhaps could’ve utilized him more. On the other hand, Hill got exposed on the defensive side of the floor particularly facing the younger speedier Hawks guards.
His plus/minus corresponded with the wins and losses in the semi-finals except in the Game 4 loss when he was a plus +4. Unlike one of the elder statesmen on this list though, Hill at 35 looked to have lost a step. Perhaps it was as simple as him not getting enough time to mesh with his new team but he fairly finds himself on the bottom of this list.
