OKC Thunder areas of improvement for Kenrich Williams No. 1) Improve his free throws.

The biggest knock on Williams’ efficiency is the fact that he is not a good free-throw shooter. He has never shot the ball at over 68.4 percent for a season in his career whilst at the line. That number was during his rookie year with the Pelicans.

In his second season with the Pelicans, he shot his free throws at an abysmal 34.6 percent. Fortunately, he only averaged 0.7 free throw attempts per game in that season. In his first season with the Thunder, Williams shot his free throws at 57.1 percent.

He averaged 1.0 attempts per game with the Thunder which is a little surprising considering how he throws himself around after the ball.  As Williams is going to be a big part of the Thunder bench production for years to come, he needs to get to the line more.

From there he needs to start converting at a much higher rate. If he can get closer to a 70 percent shooter from the line then he will be so much more effective when on the court. Players don’t mind fouling Williams at the moment because he will not hurt you from the line.
