Pro Comparison:

The lone NBA player comparison offered is Tomas Satoransky although Jokubaitis has noted he spends time watching Goran Dragic film so presumably, he’s trying to emulate that skill set.

OKC Thunder fit:

More from Thunderous Intentions

As noted above, there is a good chance Rokas Jokubaitis could remain in Europe. For the OKC Thunder, that’s a positive since a draft and stash player would allow them more flexibility.

Sam Presti has to navigate adding multiple draft picks (three in the first round, three in the second) while also giving Mark Daigneault an opportunity to build constancy within the roster. Hence, constant roster turnover can easily become a problem.

As for his fit, the rise of Jokubaitis up the ladder is similar to the path Theo Maledon experienced last year. The difference is Maledon was held back by his former coach whereas RJ got more exposure this season and responsibility with Zalgiris.

Ultimately, I don’t envision Presti selecting the young combo guard given the Thunder have Maledon.
