Could Bones Hyland fix OKC Thunder offensive woes?
By Rylan Stiles
The OKC Thunder struggled offensively a year ago under first-year coach Mark Daigneault, despite his refreshed offensive game plans. Daigneault put together interesting sets and actions, he simply did not have the players to execute. That is where Nah’Shon ‘Bones’ Hyland comes in to play for the OKC Thunder.
Despite his size, Bones Hyland is a pure scorer that will make an immediate offensive impact in the NBA. With his ability to keep defenses off-balance, and the fact he can produce at all three levels, Hyland not only has upside but can be a contributor now.
With his impressive measurables, great interviews, and even better workouts Bones Hyland is flying up NBA Draft boards. However, he does fall in that “awkward zone” for the OKC Thunder. Projected in the back half of the first round, reaching for him at 18 does not seem likely. Though the Thunder have expressed some interest in Hyland, getting into his range will be interesting.
