OKC Thunder preseason schedule features NBA Champs, Nuggets and Hornets
The best sign the National Basketball Association is close to a return to normalcy was the announcement of the key dates for the 2021-22 season. Following on the heels of this news, the OKC Thunder announced the dates for their preseason games.
While all eyes are fixated on social media today for breaking news on potential draft night deals it’s also exciting to mark down some dates on the calendar for the next campaign.
OKC Thunder announce preseason schedule
With the calendar switching back to a typical schedule that finds all teams playing in early October. OKC will play three teams with two against their fellow Northwest Conference rival Denver Nuggets. The other two dates feature teams from the opposite coast including the NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks and the Charlotte Hornets.
Three of the four dates are in Oklahoma City with two at the newly titled Paycom Center and one at the BOK Center. The lone road match will occur in Charlotte. Specifically, the schedule is as follows:
- October 4th at Charlotte Hornets (at Spectrum Center)
- October 10th versus the Milwaukee Bucks (at Paycom Center)
- October 13th versus the Nuggets (at Paycom Center)
- October 14th versus the Nuggets (at BOK Center)
*All four games tip-off at 7:00 p.m. CT

The OKC Thunder press release provided the following viewing details:
"All four preseason games will be carried on Bally Sports Oklahoma or streamed live via the Thunder Mobile App. The games will also be carried live on the Thunder Radio Network, including the Sports Animal (98.1 FM) in Oklahoma City and the Sports Animal Tulsa (97.1 FM). Complete broadcast plans will be announced at a later date."
These four matches serve up an exciting variety of clubs in a short span. Last year days before the NBA the prospect Sam Presti was trying to trade up to obtain was LaMelo Ball. In hindsight, it’s easy to understand the V.P.s excitement over the young dime disher.
