The Knicks are said to be highly covetous of Chris Duarte which is understandable given their need to add offensive talents. The problem is he’s not likely to still be on the board when New York selects at 19th.
Reiterating my point above about the Warriors are still seeking replacements for Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala. Josh Giddey and Chris Duarte could be an almost glove-like fit who could provide very similar skills.
At 24, Duarte doesn’t necessarily fit the timelines of teams in the rebuilding phase but he’s ideal for a club like the Warriors. Ironically, in my prospect profile of the Oregon guard, I likened his movement off screens to Klay Thompson. And that’s not all they have in common as Duarte is one of the most efficient 3-point shooters (42.4 percent from behind the arc on 5.5 attempts) in the class.
